Fidelity Investments

So many people are hurrying to get an account at Fidelity Investments. Although most are not even aware that a "type" of checking account that is calls the MySmartCash Account is available. This account comes with a Gold Debit card, checks, and options such as bill pay and direct deposit. The only thing that makes this account different than one at a traditional bank is that you can not deposit cash and there are no branches.

Fidelity has what is called Investment Centers. At these investment centers, you can make deposits of any check that is made out to you, and most investment centers have what is called an "ADM" Automatic Deposit machine, where you can also make these deposits.

So far the response to this account has been nothing less than fantastic. Of course the best thing is that they do not use chexsystems at all. And what they are really loving is that there are no ATM fees with this account ever. They reimburse the fees 100%. So now you are probably thinking that you have to open an investment account to get this account right? Well the answer is no you don't. You can apply online as well. Thank you for your follow up on the list that you forwarded to me. Yes I have been sucessful thus far with the immedaite opening of my new account with Fidelity Investments. I applied for the account I believe on 07/23/2009 and it was opened immediately and I received my Visa Gold Debit Card four days later even thoughnI had not made my initial deposit at that time nor had I sent in my signature card for check writing. I have now sent in my deposit and signature card and await my first set of checks.

If you are happy with your account thus far, just wait. You'll be even happier when you want to use your debit card as an ATM card and you pay no fees..at any bank...ever

Thank you Mary for all of your help! I'm sure I'll have more questions for everyone. I just sucessfully opened up a Fidelity mySmart Cash account and got my confirmation email and account number! I'll be sending in the signature card today. They do indeed have an option now online where you can apply for JUST the mySmart Cash account WITHOUT opening the brokerage account, so it's not just limited to applying by mail anymore if you only want to open the single account.

It's incredible to me that the money from Paypal was transferred in so quickly! This is awesome!

I love this account. Had it for over a year now

I haven't even funded my acct yet and I have my debit card and checks. My first direct deposit will go in this Friday. So far so good on this acct. You can call and ask them when they ordered you checks. Mine was ordered on Aug 5th and I got them on the 11th. i opened my acct on July 25th and I had my debit card by the 30th.
