Up until late 2008, ChexSystems allowed people with poor ChexSystems records to take a class through a program called Get Checking. The program has now been terminated. The termination of this program makes it even more difficult for people with negative items on their ChexSystems consumer reports to get decent bank accounts. It has been reported that there are several banks that are participating in a new program.

I personally never gave much credit to this program, after all, half of the banks that report people put down fraud in some fashion, even when it was not.
Anyone with a fraud label on their Chex report was automatically ineligible for the program.
Maybe it's a good thing. Slowly but surely, things will change or sadly enough people will end up expiring their time with Chex entries and offered another chance.
